It is too expressive
This misconception may be the one that deters most people from considering long-term care insurance, and you will be surprised at how affordable it can be in the long run. It is not by far something that is considered cheap, but it is not something that will break your bank if you have been considering it already, and this is even more true if you are in your 50s.
For example, if you and your spouse are both 55 and you have been approved for this insurance, the premium can take you up to around $2,350 for both of you for the whole year. Keep in mind that it can rise up to $3,900 or even be around $2,000, depending on your individual health records and the insurer.
Of course, the premiums may end up going up over time, but they will never go up because you have a medical emergency or something happened, and they always need approval at a state level when it comes to regulation, so it is not something to worry about.
And since we have been talking about things we do not know, here are all the things you may have not known about taxes and Medicare!

Yes both my husband and myself have it.
I’m 81 with lots of health issues. I missed the boat on this one.
