12 Things Your Library Offers for Free

Renting Books and Movies

We’re sure you already know a library’s primary objective is, or at least was, to offer its community a wide selection of books either for research or leisure. There are hundreds to choose from, classics or new releases and we’re sure you’re bound to find something to your taste after just a quick browse in the right section.

But did you know you can also rent movies? Although our knee jerk reaction is to subscribe to monthly screening services online because they’re so convenient, we could definitely save more money by checking out what our libraries first.

The cherry on top of the cake is, however, the fact that your library might even offer streaming services and ebooks too! Now you can save up money and time by watching or reading whatever you like with hardly any effort.

  1. I have not visited a library in years. Thank you for all this information. My next outing is to the library. I still have my library card I am going to put it to good use.

  2. thanks, learned a few things, will check them out. Have used yher libraary for over 50 years, why buy a book when you can put a hold on a best seller and the library will let you know when it is availiable. same with birthday discounts, just sign up for a restaurants card and they will let you know when you can get your free dinner or dessert.
