17. Round Up
Rounding up to the nearest dollar might sound a little too extreme, especially if you’re saving pennies, but there are two ways in which you can make this trick stick!
First, there are credit and debit cards that will automatically do this for you. For every transaction, they’ll round up to the nearest dollar and chuck the savings somewhere safe.
If that’s not an option for you, don’t worry about doing this for every shopping trip big or small. Instead, look at your transactions at the end of the month and do all the math then and there instead. You’ll be much more satisfied when you see the end results, meaning it’ll be easier to make this into a monthly occurrence.
