The beauty and charm of a greeting card is always in the heartfelt message you leave inside. If you write form the heart then the recipient will know how much they mean to you, no matter the occasion.

So why pay $5 or more on a fancy card? Do you really need that texture or those ribbons? We’re sure you can do without, and dollar stores often have cute or trendy designs that shouldn’t be neglected just because they’re cheap.

You can find a variety of greeting cards for most occasions for a dollar, sometimes even less. Remember, you don’t have to pay extra to prove to family or friends that you love them!

2. Party Supplies

Everyone wants to throw great parties, but there’s no reason for you to spend on your hard-earned money for decorations or items that will just get tossed away the following morning during cleanup. When it comes to paper plates, cups, streamers, plastic tablecloths, and favors, opt for the dollar store variety. By doing so, you could save up to 70% of your money.

This is especially important if you have kids or grandkids since we all know they have a penchant for breaking or ripping stuff apart, especially in larger groups.

While you’re at it, get some Mylar or foil balloons too to liven up your party. Just because they cost five times as much elsewhere doesn’t mean those insane prices make sense!
