2. Pets

According to studies, seniors who own dogs have lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels than others who don’t own pets. Additionally, owning a dog lowers your risk of having a heart attack and increases your long-term survival prospects if you already have one.

Depending on how you handle your finances, be mindful that having a pet will cost you plenty of money, especially if you want to keep it healthy and happy. It is true that all people over the age of 60 who own a pet report that their level of happiness has increased 100 percent and that they feel like they have a baby again. It might be very soul-warming to have a tiny furry friend at home that’s loyal and loves you unconditionally!

Do you have a dog? How has your life improved since adopting it? Are you happier? Tell us in the comments.
