13. Dinnerware
While we’re on the topic of kitchen items, why not talk about dinnerwear? Do you really need an expensive set for your home or do you want something that looks nice and does the job without the hefty price tag?
Parents or grandparents with young kids will also know the pain of having your dishware break on a near-weekly basis, so it just feels silly to pay extra for something fancy when the dollar store has a selection of bowls, plates, mugs and others you can choose from.
14. Plastic Food Containers
If you like to pack your own breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks for work then you know how important it is to use good, reliable plastic food containers. Most of these, in regular stores, can cost quite a lot. For a whole family, you might be looking at quite an expensive shopping trip for something that really shouldn’t cost that much!
Why pay more than $5 for one disposable container when you can get them for as little as one dollar elsewhere? I’ve always found dollar stores to have great deals on food storage bags too.
The only note I’d add is to make sure everything seals perfectly, as some off-brands might not be up to standard.
