Richboro has been a longstanding community in the area. The lovely neighborhood is rich in history, which can be seen in the town’s landmarks. And yes, it has a lot to offer seniors. A little more than 42% of its 2,541 total households are drawing Social Security benefits, and about 35% have some form of retirement income to draw on.
That’s probably how residents can afford the 1.49% property tax rate, which would be about $9,000 in property tax annually.

In Michigan, the property tax rate is based on the selling price. So if the buyer paid $500,000, his property taxes would be around $7.000.00. Bloomfield Hills is beautiful, and its residents are wealthy. There is no downtown, so the residents go to Birmingham, Troy, or Southfield to shop. For us, if there is no downtown, it should not be called a town.
