4. Timber Pines, Florida
Timber Pines is a community named for the crystal-clear water springs that exist in the area, including the Rainbow River, the second-largest artesian spring in Florida.
This lovely suburb combines the best the Sunshine State has to offer! Natural beauty, recreation, location, climate, shopping, and medical facilities are all combined in a master-planned community where affordability doesn’t sacrifice style and quality.
The houses here cost a lot less to purchase: $298.464. And there are lots of seniors, with 85% of its 3,008 total households collecting Social Security benefits. It shouldn’t come as a surprise, since the state’s property tax rate of 0.91% means that retirees are paying less than $3,000 in property taxes each year.

In Michigan, the property tax rate is based on the selling price. So if the buyer paid $500,000, his property taxes would be around $7.000.00. Bloomfield Hills is beautiful, and its residents are wealthy. There is no downtown, so the residents go to Birmingham, Troy, or Southfield to shop. For us, if there is no downtown, it should not be called a town.
