13. Save That Raise
Just because your wages have gone up doesn’t mean your lifestyle has to. Just think about it, you’re already used to making ends meet and thought you might feel the need to treat yourself for your accomplishments, you should first think about your future.
When you get a raise or a bonus, supersavers say you should put it all way. Of course, this might not be feasible for everyone but that doesn’t mean you should ignore this tip. Put at least half or even more away, or however much you can if your expenses also go up such as for a longer commute if you’ve just changed jobs.
Additionally, do the same with your bonuses. Most people have a harder time doing this since they see them as a one time chance to splurge.
