They’re Not Even Interested in Your Viewpoint
When bosses don’t like hearing other viewpoints, you might end up struggling between arguing your case and appearing insubordinate. If they think their way is right all the time then you have to learn how to pick your battles and when.
First of all, document what your approach should accomplish and how then present it to them. If they refuse, as is most often with stubborn bosses, try to look for a compromise. By showing them that you’re passionate about your perspective and working together, you might be lucky enough to break through their tough exterior.
If you don’t think you can change their mind then try approaching things differently by downscaling. Remember, a little can go a long way. In this case, the more they can see you’re trustworthy, the more likely they are to value your input.
