Your Boss Avoids Talking to You About Your Future
If your boss neglects to talk to you about your future, then that’s a major red flag, especially if you’re looking forward to advancing your career.
You might think it’s normal for them to only bring this topic up during performance evaluations, but real mentors will talk about your future often and openly. Not doing so should make you feel worried.
Think about it, right? Why can’t they open up about this now and would rather wait until a few weeks or months down the line? It’s just like asking for feedback, after all, so they shouldn’t hold back on it when asked!
Also, if a boss only starts talking about an employee’s future after they got a new job offer, that doesn’t make them a good boss, that just means they’re reactive.
