You may have heard of Jekyll Island back in the day as it used to be an exclusive location for the likes of the Rockefellers, but in recent years this has definitely changed.
No longer being regarded as an exclusive destination by the beach for the richest amongst us, this small isle off the coast of Georgia has been all the rage among seniors for the better part of the last few decades.
And when you take a moment to look at the beauty of this island you will also realize why: Jekyll Island has its own unique ecosystem of pristine beaches and about 1,000 acres of maritime forests that are full of wildlife and walking trails so that you can admire them.
They are all of an easy difficulty and they are mostly served by natural shade.
To get access to Jekyll Island you will have to pay a fee of $6, but it is definitely worth it and it is the perfect place for seniors that are looking for an amazingly peaceful destination by the beach.
