Minnesota
Talk about a great state to live in! Besides being senior-friendly, it’s also one of the most beautiful areas of our country! Need a good example?
Well, among the significant cities ranked, it seems that Minneapolis has the 4th lowest unemployment rate at 3.1% and, in 2015, had the eighth-highest average wage at $41,880, based on Headlight Data.
The 50 and up age group is also migrating here in more significant numbers, not just the over-sixties. The Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce president says that his city’s talent inventory is running low.
This makes it an excellent time for seniors to find a job in the city. Need further motivation? Experts predict the state will face a shortfall of 100,000 skilled workers in the coming years.
