Even if you’re just visiting, it’s easy to see why people flock to this state. A perfect example would be the city of Denver.

Residents enjoy the 2nd lowest unemployment rate at 2.9% and 4th highest employment growth rate at 3.6% among large metro areas in the nation, according to the BLS.

Over the past couple of years, Denver has added about 46,500 new jobs. Many of them have been in construction and hospitality, but also in professional and business services, says the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce president.

Besides that, with an average household income of over $71,000 in metropolitan areas, many citizens enjoy a high quality of life in a state known for embracing newcomers.
