Florida

We already love the Sunshine State for all it has to offer, but apparently, Florida is also an excellent state for older workers.

The greater Orlando area, especially, saw a 4% job increase over the previous year, making it the top ranking among large metro areas and a moderately low 4.5% unemployment rate, according to the BLS.

Sought-after occupations in this area include marketing specialists, cement masons and concrete finishers, meeting and convention planners, physician assistants, physical therapists and their assistants, and medical secretaries, according to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.

The area is also famous for its Disney theme parks, which can be a massive draw for those with family members looking for an extra reason to visit.
