Louisiana

This is another Southern state that landed on this list and is No. 45 overall on the US ranking report. Louisiana’s highest ranking of the three significant categories was 32nd regarding access to healthcare.

It only gets worse from here, though. Many of the state’s health problems are rooted in its high poverty rates and the somewhat low number of individuals who have insurance. Louisiana is facing many other healthcare issues as well.

It has the least amount of people visiting a dentist, high infant mortality rates, and the worst overall healthcare ratings in our country.

But at least they’re trying. The state hopes to raise that ranking by expanding the smoking age to 21, and it recently started a new biomedical research facility.

Tennessee should be number 9. Unless, less you live in a big city. If you live in a small town patient have to wait 6-8 month to get an appointment with a specialist. I moved from another state to Tenn. was shocked to find such poor treatment in the Knoxville area. UT the only decent hospital for miles.
