Keeping the Kids out of the Loop
If you’ve ever been in a worst-case scenario, you know you wouldn’t wish it on anyone, especially your kids. Teaching them the importance of money, financing and budgeting will set them up for a great future. If you’ve made financial mistakes, let them know, explain what went wrong and what you’re going to do to fix them.
The sooner they learn about which financial mistakes to avoid, the better off they’ll be. You’ll also be teaching them independence when it comes to saving while also proving that it’s alright to ask for help when they’re down on their luck.
Don’t let them struggle with taxes and loans on their own. Your experiences are valuable to them!
