4. Books

I love books, and I think that they can turn every retiree’s life into something wonderful. Just think about it: each time you read something, you’re putting yourself into someone else’s story, and you get to live their lives, travel the world, and take on different adventures, all while remaining comfortably seated in your chair. So yes, books are pretty amazing!

However, if you have a bookshelf that is extremely full but you don’t read any of those books, that’s not exactly a good start. If you haven’t read classical books like “Little Women”, or “Moby Dick” by now, it’s probably not going to happen anytime soon.

Of course, if you feel like this is the time when you’re going to make things different, then go ahead and start reading, but if you feel like you want to do other things now that you’re a retiree, it’s probably for the best to free up some extra shelf space, donate those items, or list them on the Internet for a profit.
