3. Take on More Responsibilities
Careful time management is the key to this step. You don’t want to ignore or avoid your current tasks in favor of responsibilities that your future self will take on. Try to find enough time to do both and you’ll kill two birds with one stone.
First, you’ll prove to your boss that you know exactly how to structure your day and how to check items off a list effectively. They’ll want to see results and the next time their boss asks them for ways in which to improve workflow, your name might come up.
Secondly, you’ll be on the fast track to learning what your future responsibilities will entail. While your boss might not give you an instant promotion, they’ll likely reward your added interest with a raise, at the very least.
