6. Decide if you want to relocate
A lot of people decide to relocate soon after their retirement, and that makes them happy. Perhaps you were born and raised in the north of the country but have always desired to reside in the south because of the climate. Alternatively, you could choose to relocate to an area where there are more retirees than where you are presently.
If you wish to move, consider renting a property there first to get a feel for how life might be there. Perhaps you’ll have second thoughts and decide against moving there, and it would be a shame to give up everything for that location, wouldn’t it? Depending on your preferences, keep in mind that this is a significant adjustment, so make it count!
