While in Florida, the weather is mainly Mediterranean, with wide variations in temperature that mainly depend on elevation, location, and season, in Florida, the weather is primarily humid subtropical, with winter temperatures that can range from 64 degrees Fahrenheit to 77 degrees Fahrenheit. Here, the summer temperatures can easily range from 70 degrees Fahrenheit to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
If you want to avoid sweltering summers and chilly winters, these two states are ideal. Even if they both offer different climates, they are milder than other states and much more comfortable. It’s not too hot or too cold. But at a closer look, I think it’s safe to say that California’s climate is a bit more diverse.
Here, the most prominent climate type is the Mediterranean one, which is bordered by cool interior, desert, highland, and steppe climates. Even more, Californian temperatures might range anywhere from 37 degrees Fahrenheit to 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, which is the average temperature for warm and sunny weather.
On the opposite coast, Florida has much simpler weather. Here, the most prominent type of climate is humid subtropical, with varying temperatures from 64 degrees Fahrenheit to 77 degrees Fahrenheit.
