Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota

Speaking about places by the water that is closer to the road, we have to stop and take a look at the beautiful Mississippi River and the amazing Minneapolis and St. Paul region that surrounds it. The whole place is surrounded by waterways, and the Minneapolis Lake System has an impressive number of 22 lakes, all with beaches, fishing piers, and boat launches that are going to be amazing for people who are looking to retire close to a water source but would not do well with the climate close to the oceanfront.

What’s more, this is one of the amazing places by the water that will also provide you with other types of activities nearby as it is close to the Grand Rounds National Scenic Byway, which will offer anyone who chooses to relocate here a great system of roads along with biking and walking trails. You can visit waterfalls, hold picnics in the warm months, and enjoy the hockey season and ice fishing in the cold ones!

The median price to be found here is around $1,080 for St. Paul and about $1,159 for Minneapolis, while the monthly expense for owning a mortgaged house is going to rise to around $1,631 and $1,830 for St. Paul and Minneapolis, respectively!
