6. Pest control officer
Feel free to tell me otherwise, but I genuinely think that being a pest control officer is hard and even dangerous. Your job is to get rid of vermin and insects, such as ants, termites, spiders, cockroaches, and even rats, and you have to work all day long with poisonous chemicals to exterminate them.
If you plan on working as a pest control officer, keep in mind that this isn’t exactly a dream side job for a retiree. Your work environment will range from apartments and houses to ditches and basements, and you’ll need a lot of physical strength, patience, and nerves for this.
As for the money that you’ll receive for working as a pest control officer, that isn’t going to be a lot, roughly $20 per hour, but again, you have to work with different poisonous chemicals, which can cause more harm than good if they’re not handled with care.
