4. Accommodation and food service employees

Another side job that isn’t exactly suitable for retirees is as an accommodation and food service worker. There are a lot of things you have to do in a day, and the majority of them imply physical work.

You probably think that it’s good to move your body, but when you walk around all day, carry heavy things, bend, and clean, and the pay for an hour is between $15 and $20, that doesn’t make it sound like a dream side job.

If you also get tired pretty fast or suffer from arthritis, I’m sorry to disappoint you, but as beautiful as your effort to make more money as a retiree is, all that work might make your body even more sensitive, and that’s probably not something you’re looking forward to.
