We know, we know, advising you to use your credit card more might seem like a bad idea. Credit card debt derails a lot of American households from their savings plan, which is why you should only do this if you’re 100% prepared to do it right.
There are two major points to this trick. First, you’ll need a credit card that pays you cashback. You may pay for gas, groceries, and even utilities provided that you pay off the entire balance before the due date. That’s the second major point. If you don’t stick to it, you’ll end up going in debt and ruin your savings plan.
Finally, the money you’ve earned? That should go straight into your savings, no ifs or buts about it! You may feel compelled to use it for your next month’s balance, but that’ll just defeat the purpose of the entire operation.
