
18. Deposit Your Change
Not impressed by our previous tip? Here’s a variation, then!
You know that jar you use for loose change? That’s a great idea to ensure that all your money is accounted for, even the smallest amounts. But you should actively try to fill it up by only using bills when you pay for anything. By the end of the month, you’d be surprised by how much you’ve saved.
Take it a step further and deposit all your change in a savings account. If it sits on a counter next to your car keys, it won’t accumulate interest at all. Plus, you won’t be tempted to finally spend it all in one go.
