Did you know that as of December 31st, 2018 there are only 3.1 billion $5 bills in circulation, compared to 9.4 billion $20 bills and 12.4 billion $1 bills? Thanks to this fancy data from the Federal Reserve, supersavers have developed a clever way of saving.
For this to work you must put away every $5 bill you come across. Don’t worry, you won’t be forced to land hundreds of dollars you need to spend on other things such as food or utilities in a savings account since your chances of getting a $5 bill are the slimmest. But, as they say, every little helps, and this trick doesn’t require complicated calculations or tasks to fulfill.
