The Villages is often marketed as the ultimate retirement playground. Golf carts, recreation centers, social clubs—it sounds ideal.

But for some retirees, reality feels different. Home prices and HOA fees have climbed steadily. Property insurance in Florida continues to rise, and hurricane risk is an ongoing concern. Healthcare is available, but demand is growing as the population expands.
