Retirement is no longer what it used to be. A few decades ago, once you retired, that was the end of your career. Most people would stop working and instead start enjoying their golden years.

This is not the case anymore because of a couple of factors like the longer life span, a fast-paced economy, and employers who are not offering pension benefits anymore. All of this is transforming our lives, and many times seniors have to work in order to have the life they dream of.

So, whether you want to make a little bit of extra cash or you just want to keep active, a part-time job could be the answer. However, not all jobs are appropriate for retirees because many of them require good physical condition, and there is a high chance that doing this is not the best decision for your overall health.

Hopefully, there are a lot of gigs out there that can be appropriate for seniors. Here is a list of the best part-time jobs you can apply for if you want to work during your retirement years.

I was in Law Enforcement for 30 years, and a Fire Captain for 13 years. Looking for a security officer, armed duty, or loss Prevention for retail business.

I enjoy sitting with the elderly. I have done this in the past. I love hearing about their adventures!!! Giving the family a night out, time to visit friends knowing that their loved one is being taking care of. I do not do over nights.
I love sitting with children also. Give mommy a break!!
    I am 70, retired.

I like being outdoors. I have a dog myself that I walk two times a day to recreation parks.

It’s an interesting thought. I am now86 years old, lost my wife last year and feel that I still have some mileage left. My background is ship management, contract management, turbo machinery inspection/repair, development of repair specification, supervision of machinery repairs and things of that nature. Would like to do something that requires some skills and abilities.

I am 80 ( a young 80). My experience is dealing with people all of my life. I would like to get a part-time job either at home or possibly in some retail, or I am a music person so I would be open to that sort of thing. I am currently doing Real Estate part-time but getting tired of the paperwork.
