I will fail the screening anyways

There is a screening for this type of insurance, but just because your latest health check found you with high cholesterol or that lately you have put on a couple of pounds and you find yourself in the overweight category, it does not mean that you are going to fail your screening. It is not the best choice you have to think about, especially since these are not going to make a difference, and you may miss getting long-term care insurance because of an idea and not a concrete fact.

Most applicants, especially if you jump the queue and end up getting one when you are still young and in your 50s and even 60s, forget that underwriting is only going to look at your most recent medical record and check for what illnesses you may be having and what medication you may be on.

They are not going to pry into anything more than that, and when it comes to the cognitive exam, they are going to call you. You will not have to go anywhere, and they will definitely not come over to your home for an in-home professional visit!

If this was the only thing holding you back from applying, you should go ahead and give it a shot!
