6. Canton, Georgia

The city of Canton is considered one of the greatest places you can retire on the East Coast. If you love shopping, hiking, and exploring all the amazing things that the city has to offer, you’ll absolutely love being there.

There are also plenty of restaurants to try there that are perfect for date nights or brunches with your friends. As for the cost of living, the rent for a 1-bedroom apartment will be roughly $1,300 per month, healthcare costs $400, and your monthly grocery shopping adventure will take a bit over $400 out of your pocket.

That’s absolutely great for people who want to live a happy and quiet life and who also enjoy taking advantage of all those beautiful things that the city has available for its people.
