Malone
Malone is 10 miles from the United States-Canada border, but it’s completely surrounded by a wonderful mix of scenery, which also includes farmlands, forests, lakes, and mountains. The Salmon River crosses through the town, providing scenic views and recreation opportunities.
The Malone Golf Club is one of the best places in town, given that we’re talking about a fancy country club with 36 holes of golf spread over two distinct courses. In fact, some of the holes are also called “the best pure classic nine” by passionate golf lovers. Naturally, the club also boasts a full-service bar and a restaurant inside the course grounds.
Binghamton
Right in the Southern Tier region of New York and very close to the Pennsylvania border, Binghamton is the perfect spot to live if you want to be a couple of minutes away from anything. It’s only 10 minutes from the Triple Cities, which also include Johnson City and Endicott.
Also, its residents love the town’s history, so they try very hard to reimagine and even revive what it means to live in Binghamton. Here, you’re genuinely going to find everything you might want, from taking a trip to the waterfalls at the IBM Glen nature preserve to even getting your craving fix downtown.
