The $1,000 head start from the Treasury
Here’s the centerpiece: children born between 2025 and 2028 are eligible for an initial $1,000 deposit from the U.S. Department of the Treasury. For families with a qualifying baby, that first deposit could arrive as early as July 4. It’s essentially free seed money to kick-start a child’s account.
