Privacy can become a problem.

While living with your children can have a lot of pros, privacy can end up being a contested issue. If they live with you, you can no longer enter their room whenever you feel like it, and if you live with them, it may seem like you no longer have any time for yourself. Likewise, you may feel like you cannot argue with your spouse because someone else may hear you and try to give their two cents.

Living with adult children may mean giving up some of the habits you have gotten used to over the years you have not been living together, including not being able to have some time to yourself. If you are not having a good day, you can no longer lounge on the couch all day since it is now a shared space. If your home is small, you may not even have the privilege of having your own space anymore since the house is full of your children and maybe their children as well.

It can get to a point where you may feel like you have to be available 24/7, or they may feel like that, and the only way either can get a break is to leave the house altogether.

Do not get us started on the bathroom situations. These are just some of the issues that can arise when living with adult children, and you should either be prepared for them or devise a plan so that you can get through them without too much frustration on either end.
