2. Virtual assistant

This is not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you’re a retiree looking for an online gig to earn some extra cash, you should try this one. The part-time job I’m actually talking about is being someone’s virtual assistant, which means that you will have to perform different online tasks for them. As you can imagine, the work can vary from one person to another, depending on the things you can do and know how to do.

Speaking of that, a virtual assistant, also known as a VA, is an online personal assistant who has to deal with tasks that are similar to the ones that an office administrator or manager typically takes care of.

If you decide to try being someone’s VA, you should know that you might be asked to help them with writing, sales, accounting, editing, administrative support, marketing, proofreading, website development, graphic design, and even desktop publishing services.

Don’t worry; your online gig isn’t going to make you do all of these things. These are just a few examples of tasks that VAs typically take care of. For this type of job, you’ll be working directly from the comfort of your beloved home on a laptop or a computer, using licensed software applications, your phone, and, of course, the most important thing: a stable Internet connection.
