4. The cost of living

With all of the benefits, maybe you wouldn’t have expected Florida to have a cost of living that is suitable for the median income of the majority of seniors. The median home cost is pretty close to the national average, and if you compare this with other places, such as California, the housing is really not that expensive.

The prices for groceries and transportation are more than accessible and fall below other popular choices such as Colorado or New York. That means you can move around and buy your essentials without spending a fortune on them.

Now, add up the low cost of living with all the tax benefits, and you will realize that Florida is a great location for your budget.
