Social Security COLA: Latest Updates From The Government Here

Increase in Social Security Disability Thresholds

The SSA provides monthly income to people who are unable to work for a year or more due to a disability. Those benefits are typically paid until the beneficiaries can resume working.

However, there are also cases when some may have a qualifying disability even if they are still working, such as if they can’t do the same work they previously did because of their medical condition.

If this is the case, you are only eligible for Social Security Disability benefits if you earn up to a certain amount of money. When you exceed that limit, you can’t be considered to have a qualifying disability.

Here are the threshold changes for 2023:

  • Non-Blind: $1,470/month (in 2022, it was $1,350/month)
  • Blind: $2,460/month (in 2022, it was $2,260/month)
  • Trial Work Period (TWP): $1,050/month (in 2022, it was $970/month).

    WELL I AM 88 HAVE BONE CANCER WIFE HAS BAD HELTH ALL SO 80 YERS OLD WE DONT GET A LOT OF SS CANT GET DISAB. DONT GET A LOT OF MONEY FROM SS TO PAY FOR EVER THINGS DOCTOR COL PAYMENTS WE COULD USE A FUE MORE EACH MO. BUT CANT GET IT WE NEED MORE HELP BUT
