My husband, on the other hand, was even more careful with his toys than I was, mainly because his parents kept telling him that if he broke something, it wouldn’t be easy for them to get him another toy.

He didn’t give up any of his things when he grew up, but when our kids left home and went to college, he decided that it was time to give up on his childhood toys and sell them online. We couldn’t believe that there were a lot of collectors interested in these items, and he made some money out of them, up to a few thousand dollars.
