5. Librarian

If you have always been someone who likes to read and you love to keep things organized, then your local library may just have the best part-time job for you! You can sign up as a librarian and work to help your community by finding them the books and materials they require while also getting in your daily socializing hours. If you know you will have no problems placing the books back and spending time bending down and reaching up for books, then this is one of the best part-time jobs for seniors you can find out there.

The only problem you may encounter is that they may ask you to complete a course if you have never worked with indexing systems and archives, but they may also be willing to help you complete it, depending on the library and how big it is. You will also find that most of these part-time jobs for seniors that involve libraries will also be quite flexible, so you may be able to choose the hours and days when you will work.

If you are looking for part-time jobs for seniors and know that there are some that are not considered a good match and that you should actually cross off your list. Find out which part-time jobs seniors should be wary of in this article here!

Number 4 needs better research….”pays decently”? Been a Uber driver over 7 years, Uber drivers received 80% of what riders paid to Uber, since passage of Ca prop 22, in 85% of accepted rides, Uber has added insurance, even as they admit they are NOT an insurance company, broker or affiliated with any insurance company, priced from $1 as high as $10, taxes and other “miscellaneous” deductions from drivers that comes in some cases almost 47% for drivers…..pays decently? Hardly, even for retired seniors like myself
