Like Delaware, Oregon levies no state or local taxes, and there’s also no tax on retirement income. Portland is definitely the most populous city in the state, with around 640,000 residents. It’s known for “keeping it weird” and is also famous for its craft breweries, live music scene, local coffee shops, and environmentally conscious locals.
As a coastal state, Oregon boasts steep cliffs, sandy beaches, and everything in between. I hope nobody comes to Oregon based on the information in this article. Contrary to what is stated, Oregon’s legislators seem to spend a lot of time thinking up new things to tax. There’s even an “art tax” on income in the Portland metro area, to support Portland “art”.
