New Mexico

Another short tax holiday takes place in New Mexico between August 7th and August 9th. Like we’ve come to expect, you can purchase clothes under $100, and computers up to $1,000. In addition, computer software under $500 will also be eligible. If you want to buy joysticks or headsets for said computer then you’re out of luck because those will still be taxable.

School supplies will be nontaxable if they’re under $30 each and if they’re eligible. The Taxation and Revenue Department has put up an amazing list of items and guidelines for the event, so make sure to check it out before you go shopping!
