Massachusetts

In 2018, Massachusetts signed a law that established an annual sales tax holiday for one weekend each year. In 2020, that’s happening between August 29th to August 30th.

Luckily, you don’t have to scour lists of eligible items as most personal purchases are eligible if they cost $2,500 or less. This does not include meals, alcohol, utilities, marijuana products, tobacco items, gas, electricity, motorboats, motor vehicles and a handful of others.

You can safely order and pay online for all your personal items, too, though layaway sales are not eligible.

Check out the Commonwealth of Massachusetts website for more details!
