Mississippi

Mississippi residents can enjoy two tax holidays. Each summer you can purchase clothing, footwear, and school supplies which cost $100 or less per item without worrying about taxes. In 2020, this holiday falls between July 31st and August 1st.

Between August 28th and August 30th, the state celebrates a Second Amendment tax holiday during which you can get your hands on ammunition, hunting supplies, and firearms.

Visit the Mississippi Department of Revenue website for a list of eligible items, especially in terms of sporting or other hobby items that may be, sadly, non-eligible.
