Your Boss Spends a Lot of Time Gossiping

It’s bad enough when coworkers start to gossip, but if your boss joins in on the action, it’s bad news for everyone! They might be encouraging others to do the same, which is highly unprofessional and awkward. They might even be doing it in order to fit into this ‘cool’ or ‘hip’ persona.
Don’t engage in such activities. The last thing you want is to become at odds with other coworkers because of a bad boss. Always try to steer the conversation back towards work, even if the setting you’re in might indicate a break.
For example, let’s say you’re refiling your cup of coffee when your boss starts gossiping. Because you’re in a recreational area you might feel a little strange bringing up work, but trust us, it’s far better than saying anything personal! Remember, this is your boss that’s gossiping. Don’t give them any ammo.
