You’re Not Given a Chance to Grow

We don’t think anyone wants to work in a dead-end job, but some bosses make it impossible for people to grow. Your work life can become extremely tedious if you do the same things over and over again, which can negatively impact your overall mental health and productivity in other areas.
Your boss may not be convinced to give you too much responsibility, but you can start asking for the opportunity to help on other projects. Taking baby steps is the way to go, though you should also consider finding another job if even this slow but steady approach doesn’t prove successful.
You should always bring up your background and credentials to remind your boss that you can work in a certain area. If you have enough time on your hands, ask them for permission to volunteer your time in other departments. This could lead to a later, lateral move in your company, towards a team that really values your work ethics and ideas.
