Your Boss Overpromises

Some bosses have been known to promise their employees a lot of things, from promotions, pay rises, to an increase of responsibilities. But a lot of workers have found that these promises don’t ever come to fruition. They might increase your motivation for a short while, but that’s about it.
In most cases, this happens during face-to-face conversations, so you should try to get everything in written form. After a discussion, follow up via email to confirm your boss’ plans. Make sure to include the exact things you’ve been promised instead of writing something vague.
Be wary, a boss who doesn’t want to leave a paper trail is likely one that won’t follow through to their promises!
