Your Boss Is Self-centered

A self-centered boss is different from one that hogs the limelight, but these aren’t mutually exclusive.
Here we’re talking about those people who just cannot stop talking about themselves. If they always bring up their latest experiences without giving everyone else room to speak, you know you’ve got a problem. It might make you or your coworkers feel unheard, even if you’re not necessarily talking about business as usual.
Find ways of changing the subject without talking over them, of course. Mention of how something they said reminded you of something else, for example.
Of course, in a lot of cases, they’ll continue on talking over you. If this happens then it’s time to pull them to one side and let them know that there is an issue.
