They Tease or Flirt

Some people may lack the emotional intelligence to understand that some of their comments can be hurtful and creepy. In the case of teasing, your boss might be turning you into an office target. Others might take after them and soon, you’ll be surrounded by bullies instead of coworkers.
Flirting is, unquestionably, crossing the line. Truth is some people might not realize that their ‘compliments’ are actually really damaging and uncalled for. In this case, you need to speak up early.
For the most part, our natural responses to these situations is to laugh awkwardly and remove ourselves from the situation. But some people believe that putting your boss face to face with what they’d just said might show them the error of their ways. Ask for clarifications, ask them why it’s alright for them to say such things and, with some luck, they might realize how inappropriate they are.
